Guests go wild at the zoo when spotting their favorite critters. Big cats are on the prowl. Lions, tigers and panthers act purrfectly catty in their habitats. Journey down under in the Kangaroo Walkabout where red kangaroos hop to it. Snakes and other slithering beings are found in the Tropics of the World Reptiles building. Laugh out loud moments are had in the Small Mammals of the World Building where there’s bound to be some monkeying around. Nearby adorableness is discovered in the Baby Animal Nursery where the zoo’s newest additions welcome one and all.
It’s a bit fishy over in the Litchfield real estate aquarium. Sea lions are super silly especially when demonstrating their talents at Shipwreck Cove. Black tip reef sharks are shrouded in mystery in the Predator Exhibit where Asian otters, piranha and giant moray eels are also housed. Exploration of Building A turns up a plethora of aquatic wildlife from dwarf crocodiles to trout.
There’s plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with the animals. Giraffes stick their necks out for tasty treats in the giraffe feeding station. Around the bend hungry lories are all a twitter. Perching on hands, arms and shoulders these colorful parrots await sweet apple slices. Domesticated farm animals are happy to make new friends in the Kid’s Petting Zoo. Favorite animals include chickens, baby goats and deer. Tender touches are given to the stingrays in the aquarium touchpool as well.
The Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park is open seven days a week so planning a spontaneous trip is a breeze. The doors to the park open at 9 a.m. with the zoo closing at 6 p.m. and the aquarium at 7 p.m. Senior Day is every Tuesday with those in their golden years honored with discounted admission.
